How To Make A Triangular Pyramid With Paper or Cardboard

The triangular pyramid is a polyhedron with four equilateral triangular faces, making it a fundamental shape in geometry. Its symmetrical design and balanced proportions make it visually appealing and intriguing. Crafting a triangular pyramid out of cardboard offers several benefits. It encourages spatial reasoning, promotes problem-solving skills, and enhances understanding of geometric concepts.

In this oneHOWTO article, we will guide you through the process of creating your very own triangular pyramid using cardboard.

You'll need:
  • Template (alternatively, get a pencil, rubber and ruler to draw it)
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Paper or cardboard
Steps to follow:
1

Trace the triangular pyramid template onto paper, cardboard, or paperboard to make a copy.

2

Use a pair of scissors to carefully cut out the pyramid template.

3

Fold along all the lines of the template. To get a clear idea of where each tab will go, try assembling the pyramid with a triangular base before applying glue.

4

Apply glue onto one of the tabs and firmly press it into place. Use your fingers to ensure it is securely attached. Repeat this step for the remaining tabs, applying glue and pressing them down firmly.
