It's very simple, if you want to learn how to make a popup Christmas tree card, you'll only need to follow these instructions:

You'll need:
  • Two DIN A4 sheets of paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Pencil
  • Ruler
  • Envelope
  • Colors, felt pens or whatever you'd like to decorate your card with
Steps to follow:
1

The first step you'll need to take to make your pop-up Christmas tree card is to get a green, DIN A4 sheet of paper. If you don't have any, you can also use white paper.

2

Next, draw a 23 cm (9 in) long and 17 cm (6.75 in) wide rectangle. This size can vary according to what you're going to use. To create this postcard, we've used the typical 176 x120mm (70x47.5 in) rectangle envelope as a template so it can fit in it later. Once you've drawn the rectangle, draw a dotted line exactly in the center like you can see in the image.

3

Cut out the rectangle and draw half a Christmas tree, making sure you also draw the curved lines like you can see in the image, and also be careful to respect the length of the spaces written below.

4

Then, fold the paper in half.

5

Cut out the curved lines like you can see in the image below.

6

Open the sheet of paper and you'll see how your tree has been marked on both sides.

7

Draw a line with a pencil from the top part of the tree to the bottom part of the tree like you'll be able to see in the image.

8

Fold down the top part of the tree, as you can see in the image.

9

Turn the sheet around and you'll be able to see what it looks like on the other side.

10

Do the same with all the parts of the tree.

11

Get another DIN A4 sheet of paper and stick the paper with the tree on top. You'll have to glue all the parts except those where the tree is drawn on, as they will stand out to make your pop-up Christmas card.

12

Cut the remaining part of the blank sheet. Decorate the post card as you like and with your preferred Christmas message. Now you'll only need to put it in an envelope and send your amazing pop up Christmas tree card to whoever you want.
