How to Make a Hexagonal Based Prism with Cardboard

A prism is a polyhedron that is formed by two equal and parallel faces called bases and different side faces that are parallelograms. Depending on the base of the prism this will have more or less faces. Next I will show you how to make a hexagonal based prism with cardboard.

Draw the template on cardboard. The first step to make a hexagonal based prism out of cardboard is to copy this template of the prism on paper or cardboard.


Cut the figure. Cut out the prism template with scissors.


Fold the cut-out. Fold along all the lines of the template. Try to put the prism together before adding glue to be sure where each tab will go.


Glue the cut-out. Put glue on one of the tabs and paste it into place. Press it with your fingers so that it is well secured. Do the same with the others.
